Abstract

This chapter discusses important semiochemicals used in the control of several medically-important vector species, including Culex, Stegomyia, and Anopheles mosquitoes, Simulium blackflies, Phlebotomus sandflies and Glossina flies. Their varying efficacies in the control of these vectors, as well as practical tips in maximizing their effects in real-life scenarios, are also described.
