Abstract

This video sheds light on the everyday challenges that people with a learning disability face in the built environment, where their needs and voices are too often overlooked. Through a co-design approach, I worked with participants as collaborators, exploring spaces, sharing experiences, and co-creating solutions. I reimagine inclusive architecture as a process that listens, adapts, and genuinely belongs to everyone, producing two key outcomes: design guidelines for more accessible buildings and a methodological framework enabling researchers to involve people with a learning disability from the outset. Because my research is not just about buildings, it is about belonging.
