Abstract

This introduction to the Sexualities Special Issue Queer Frontiers: Imagining New Intellectual Queer Futures contextualises queer studies in the present moment. We discuss the current social and political context of the edition, noting the rise of the far right, queerphobia, transphobia and other discriminatory practices. In doing so, we highlight how the authors contributing to this special edition help progress and develop queer studies to equip scholars with concepts and methodologies that can progress our field of thought.
