Abstract

The design and construction of four luxuary houses around a courtyard in Holland Park West London.The houses explore the qualities of privacy and quietness in high density dwellings and use a mixture of materials that reflect or absorb light according to the accommodation.The houses have been been published several times between the period from the granting of planning permission and the construction which is due for completion in November 2012. An exhibition and publication is planned at the Architectural Association School of Architecture at the beginning of 2013.
