Abstract

The present project had three main aims. First, to establish the prevalence and characteristics of psychotropic medication users in a representative sample of the UK working population. Secondly, to investigate the effects of psychotropic medication on performance efficiency and human error in a working sample. Finally, to determine whether there was an association between the use of psychotropic medication and the prevalence of workplace accidents and cognitive failures.
