Abstract

This volume questions the links between comparative literature and anthropology, their methodological similarities and the complementarity of their approaches. This chapter deals with creoleness as a literary movement developed by French Caribbean writers (from Martinique) and explores the ways by which aesthetics could serve a politics of identity.
