Abstract
Politics is a significant factor in determining education policy. Despite efforts to isolate education from the impact of elections, recent research has demonstrated that local, state, and federal elections affect education policy. This article integrates the findings in this volume, posits a set of hypotheses, and traces a research agenda for the study of elections and politics.
