Abstract
The recent discoveries of large numbers of low surface brightness (LSB) galaxies in clusters and of the extreme LSB giant galaxy Malin 1 are changing views of the galactic contents of the universe. B and R band CCD photometry of a sample of LSB galaxies previously identified from photographic plates of the Fornax cluster are described. This sample contains some of the lowest surface brightness galaxies known, one having the same central surface brightness as Malin 1. The objects in this sample have a wide range of morphologies, and galaxies of similar appearance may have very different (B-R) colors. The range of (B-R) colors for this sample is as large as that of the entire Hubble sequence.
