Abstract

Information regarding the distances of extragalactic radio sources is needed for a determination of the intrinsic parameters of individual sources and the study of the cosmological effects in the population as a whole. The spectra for five optical objects associated with extragalactic radio sources were obtained with a 2.1-m telescope during 1982 April. The objects involved were 1227+11, 1255+37, 1739+17, 0908+37, and 1141+37. The spectra were smoothed with a 5-point function, and the redshift values were obtained.
