Abstract
A well-resolved polariton to biexciton transition is measured in a high-quality quantum-well microcavity, using a pump-probe experiment. Even if the Rabi splitting exceeds the biexciton binding energy in the bare quantum well, the biexciton binding is found not to be significantly affected by the strong exciton-photon coupling. Moreover, the formation of bipolaritons is not resolved. These results agree with predictions in literature based on the in-plane wavevector dispersion in the microcavity.
