Abstract

Presenting the 2024 Early Career Teaching Excellence Award Lecture, Dr Emma Yhnell explored her teaching philosophy of making biosciences accessible, engaging and possible to a range of diverse learners. From traditional student audiences to underrepresented groups and community engagement, she will explore how to provide meaningful and inclusive teaching sessions which leave learners feeling engaged and inspired. This webinar was chaired by Professor David Smith from Sheffield Hallam University and Chair of the Biochemical Society's Education, Training and Public Engagement Committee.
