Abstract

This workshop will present and discuss the role of individual learners as co-creators of knowledge. The workshop will present a small number of case studies that illustrate small shifts in assessment design in Higher Education that enable learners to use assessment to further develop their learner identity. The workshop will briefly present PRIME, an approach to materials and assessment design aimed at supporting HE lecturers in creating learner-led content and ask for discussion on the extent to which this is possible within AS and A level curricula. The workshop will discuss learner-led approaches to learning as a stepping stone towards greater accessibility and equity of learning outcomes and assessment types.
