Abstract

Highlights: The multiscale evolution of TiC particles at varying laser energy densities was investigated. The coarsening of nanoscale TiC (<100 nm) was primarily governed by chemical transport. The coarsening of microscale TiC (3–7 μm) was dominated by impingement. TiC particles exhibited four-tiered composed hierarchical distribution characteristics.
