Abstract
Detailed studies of the behaviour of positrons in selected room temperature molecular gases at densities below 1 amagat (≡ 2.69 × 1025 molecules m−3) have allowed the isolation of two- and three-body effects upon the rate of annihilation. Investigations of gas mixtures have helped in removing ambiguities in the interpretation of the data noted in the first study of this phenomenon [1].
